Create a custom error pages in cpanel
To create a custom error page on cPanel, you can follow these steps:
1. Log in to cPanel using your login credentials.
2. In the “Advanced” section, look for the “Error Pages” icon and click on it.
3. choose the domain name using the error drop down if you have multiple domain names.
4. On the “Error Pages” page, you will see a list of different error codes such as 400, 401, 403, etc.
5. Click on the error code for which you want to create a custom error page.
6. You will have three options to choose from:
– Show a default page: This option will display the default error page provided by the server.
– Show a short plain-text message: This option allows you to enter a simple text
Add the page code to match your site include all the header information and body tag. Basically you want to enter what will be a blank page for your website.
Select a tag to insert section.
Since we are creating a “file not found” page we will use “Requested URL” variable to show the broken link URL on the error page.
Place your cursor inside the tags and click a tag link to insert the variable code
Scroll down to save.
Now if you enters an incorrect url on the website it will display the custom error page.
