So basically, BoxTrapper is a built-in spam filtering tool found in hosting dashboards like cPanel. It uses a “challenge-response” system. When an unknown sender emails you, BoxTrapper holds the email and automatically sends a verification request. The sender must reply to verify they are a human, not a spam bot, before the email is delivered to your inbox.
Steps to Activate BoxTrapper
You can activate BoxTrapper directly from your cPanel dashboard or through your cPanel Webmail Home using the following steps:
1. Log in to your cPanel interface.
2. Open BoxTrapper: Scroll down to the Email or Fight Spam section and click the BoxTrapper icon.
3. Select Your Email: You will see a list of your email accounts. Locate the specific email address you want to protect and click the Manage button next to it.
4. Enable the Service: On the management page, you will see the Current Status listed as Disabled. Click the Enable button to turn it on.
