How To Change Email Quota In Direct Admin Panel

Basically, an email quota refers to either your inbox’s storage limit (space for received messages) or your sending limit (how many emails you can dispatch). Exceeding either usually results in bounce-back errors, rejected emails, or a frozen inbox.

When you have a continuous flow of emails, which can be inform of – photos, reports, newsletters photos, your inboxes grow heavier and this leads to, syncing lags, searches slows down and backups become more demanding.

That is where mailbox quotas come in. A mailbox quota is simply the maximum amount of storage space allocated to your email account. It ensures your inbox does not grow unchecked – and helps prevent a few overflowing mailboxes from affecting service quality or costs for everyone else.

You can adjust a mailbox’s quota yourself in Direct admin panel, up to the maximum allowed for your hosting plan. If you need larger mailboxes than your plan permits, you can upgrade your hosting plan.
