Before you begin the process of importing your database via Management Studio, your connection IP has to be whitelisted from the server by the server administrator. Therefore, you may need to share your IP to be whitelisted and thereafter you follow the steps below.
To import a database using Management Studio on Plesk Panel:
1. Open Plesk Panel and navigate to the “Databases” section.
2. Access the database you want to import to and note the database credentials.
3. Launch SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS) on your local machine.
4. Connect to the SQL Server using the provided credentials.
Note the server name is your host IP or the domain name without “www”
5. In SSMS, right-click on the target database and select “Tasks” > “Import Data…”
6. Follow the wizard, specifying the data source, destination, and mapping.
7. Ensure you select the appropriate options, like “Enable identity insert” if needed.
8. Complete the wizard, and it will import your database into the selected destination.
Remember to adjust settings based on your specific requirements and database configurations.
